A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an electrode assembly obtained by winding a first electrode and a second electrode around a winding axis with a separator interposed therebetween to define a core and an outer surface, wherein the first electrode includes an active material portion coated with an active material layer along a winding direction and a first uncoated portion not coated with an active material layer, at least a portion of the first uncoated portion being used as an electrode tab by itself, a battery housing configured to receive the electrode assembly through an opening formed on one side, a housing cover configured to cover the opening and having a through-hole in a center, and a debossed ball configured to be inserted into the through-hole.
