SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SECONDARY BATTERY

A secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; and a battery case including an accommodation portion, which accommodates the electrode assembly together with an electrolyte, and a side portion, which extends from the accommodation portion. The side portion includes: a cut section formed adjacent to the end of the side portion to discharge gas from the inside of the accommodation portion; and a plurality of sealing sections arranged between the cut section and the accommodation portion to prevent the electrolyte from moving toward the cut section while gas is being discharged through the cut section. The plurality of sealing sections have gas discharge flow paths formed between the respective sealing sections to discharge the gas, and include inflow prevention sections which are located adjacent to inlets of the gas discharge flow paths and extend toward the accommodation portion to prevent the electrolyte from flowing into the gas discharge flow paths.
