A sealing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is configured to seal a secondary battery including an electrode assembly, an outer packaging having an internal space for accommodating the electrode assembly and an outer packaging opening through which the internal space is in communication with an outside, and a cover member configured to sealably cover the outer packaging opening of the outer packaging, wherein the sealing apparatus seals the outer packaging and the cover member of the secondary battery, the sealing apparatus including an edge sealing unit configured to seal a plurality of edges between adjacent sealing surfaces among a plurality of sealing surfaces of the outer packaging.
