An electronic device of the present disclosure may comprise: a power transmission circuit; and a processor, wherein the processor: transmits Q ping through the power transmission circuit; when a change of a Q factor is detected, identifies whether the value of the Q factor is smaller than or equal to a designated value; if the value of the Q factor is smaller than or equal to the designated value, controls the power transmission circuit such that the voltage induced in a power reception device is in a first voltage range; and if the value of the Q factor is greater than the designated value, controls the power transmission circuit such that the voltage induced in the power reception device is in a second voltage range having a power level higher than that of the first voltage range.
