An assembly (70) for a compartment (50B) of a gas turbine engine (10) that includes a housing (72), a gear (74), and a baffle (86, 86A) disposed about the gear (74). The baffle (86, 86A) includes an upstream portion (88) and a downstream portion (98). The upstream portion (88) includes an upstream inner wall (92) and an upstream outer wall (90) separated from the gear (74). The upstream inner wall (92) is positioned between the upstream outer wall (90) and the gear (74). An upstream flow channel (96) is formed between the upstream inner wall (92) and the upstream outer wall (90). The downstream portion (98) of the baffle (86, 86A) includes a downstream inner wall (102) and a downstream outer wall (100) separated from the gear (74). The downstream inner wall (102) is positioned between the downstream outer wall (100) and the gear (74). A downstream flow channel (104) is formed between the downstream outer wall (100) and the downstream inner wall (102).
