A display apparatus, comprising: a thin film transistor substrate extending in a first direction (D1), which is a horizontal direction, and a second direction (D2) perpendicular to the first direction; a pixel electrode disposed over the thin film transistor substrate; and a pixel defining layer (PDL) disposed over the thin film transistor substrate and having an opening exposing a portion of the pixel electrode, wherein the opening of the pixel defining layer comprises sides extending along a third direction (D3) inclined at a predetermined angle with the first direction, and sides extending along a fourth direction (D4) perpendicular to the third direction, and a protruding opening (PT) is formed in an outward direction of the opening at a corner of the opening of the pixel defining layer in the first direction.
