TYRE TEMPERATURE SENSOR, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MEASURING A TEMPERATURE OF A PNEUMATIC TYRE

A tyre temperature sensor (14; 15) is provided that comprises a magnetic inlay (3; 5) that is sized and shaped to be embedded in the tyre (1), wherein the magnetic inlay (3; 5) has a magnetic permeability having a known temperature dependence and a first (9) or a first and a second coil (10, 11), that depend at least in part on the magnetic permeability of the magnetic inlay (3; 5) and is, respectively are, sized and shaped to be arranged on an inner surface (8) of the tyre (1).
