The elevated section (24) extends radially from the level of a tread groove bottom (22) to a height (H2) that is reduced with respect to the height (H1) of the radially outermost surfaces of the primary tread blocks (20). A radially outermost surface (26) of the elevated section (24) provides a protecting surface adapted to safeguard the tread groove bottom (22) from a track (200) or a tyre chain (500) to be placed on the tread section and a shoulder surface (28) of the elevated section (24) provides on a sidewall section (14) a supporting surface adapted to support the track or the chain.",
