Child car seat (2), to be positioned on a seat of a motor vehicle, comprising a base (1) provided with an ISOFIX coupling system (3), and a shell (4) positioned on the base (1) in an angularly reclining manner, with a sitting part (5) and a backrest (6). A toptether anchoring (8) has a first end (11) which is fixed to a coupling point (12) positioned in a lower portion of the shell (4), for example the sitting part (4) or a lower portion of the backrest (6). The top tether (8) engages with the base (1), passing around a first return element (13), and engages with the shell (4) passing around a second return element (14) positioned on top of the backrest (6). The position of the coupling point and the return elements (12, 13, 14) allows the reclining of the shell (4) without the need to adjust the tension of the top tether (8) again, since the tension is kept essentially constant.
