SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE

The present invention relates to a system and a method for controlling a vehicle. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is a system for controlling a vehicle comprising: the vehicle comprising a vehicle control unit operable to detect a user's input to control at least one of a door and a start of an engine, and control the at least one of the door and the start of the engine; and a mobile device comprising a sensor capable of detecting a position and a motion pattern of the mobile device, characterised in that: when the vehicle control unit detects the user's input, the vehicle control unit is operable to collect a latest position of the mobile device and the motion pattern of the mobile device from the sensor, determine a current position of the mobile device with respect to the vehicle based on the collected information, and decide whether to control the at least one of the door and the start of the engine.
