The present invention relates to a motorized hub assembly (10) for a bicycle wheel comprising a hub shaft (12) extending along a longitudinal axis and comprising a longitudinal through cavity (12a) configured to receive a quick release axle, at least one first bearing (23) having a radially inner ring (23a) and arranged radially outside the hub shaft (12), a hub body (11) radially outside the hub shaft (12) and rotatably mounted, about a rotation axis (X), on the hub shaft (12) through the first bearing (23), an electric motor (18) arranged inside the hub body (11). A routing opening (25) is crossed by electrical conductor elements (21) connected to the electric motor (18), the routing opening (25) being arranged radially between the inner ring (23a) of the first bearing (23) and the hub shaft (12).
