SEALING ARRANGEMENT WITH VENT FOR AN ENGINE COMPONENT WITH A SERVICE PORT

An apparatus of an aircraft engine (10) having lubricated moving components is provided. The apparatus comprises a housing (H) having a lubricant cavity (142A) for receiving lubricant and a service port cavity (142B), the housing (H) defining a selectively openable service port for accessing the service port cavity (142B). A shaft (150) is mounted for rotation about a rotational axis (X) within the housing (H). A seal (141) is mounted about the shaft (150) forming a partition between the lubricant cavity (142A) and the service port cavity (142B). A vent channel (145) extends between the lubricant cavity (142A) and the service port cavity (142B).
