An electronic device may include a housing including a first plate, a second plate facing away from the first plate, and a side surface member for at least partially surrounding a space between the first plate and the second plate, a display positioned in the space and viewed through the first plate, a conductive coil parallel to the second plate and disposed between the display and the second plate, a wireless charging circuit electrically connected to the conductive coil, a sensor circuit electrically connected to the wireless charging circuit and the conductive coil, and a processor operatively connected with the display, the wireless charging circuit and the sensor circuit, wherein the sensor circuit may receive a first analog ping signal for wireless charging from an external electronic device, through the conductive coil, receive at least one second analog ping signal within a time selected after the first analog ping signal received, count the number of the second analog ping signals received within the selected time, and provide a notification signal to the processor if the number exceeds a first threshold.
