The circumferential groove (22) comprises a stabilizing structure (220) for increasing tread stiffness. The stabilizing structure (220) comprises a circumferentially extending subgroove (222) or slit in a radially innermost bottom of the circumferential groove (22). The subgroove (222) or slit is axially offset from the centerline (227) or center plane of the circumferential groove (22).",
