A display system (2) which is to be installed in a straddled vehicle (1), includes: a display unit (20); and a communication unit (22) which is communicably connected to a portable terminal (30). The display system (2) is configured to: switch a display mode of the display unit (20) from a first display mode to a second display mode in response to an operation performed by a rider on a handle switch (3) of the vehicle (1); display a main display picture (100) on the display unit (20) in the first display mode; and display at least a launcher display picture (140) on the display unit (20) in the second display mode. In the launcher display picture (140), at least some of a plurality of icons (42a to 42e) are displayed side by side in a certain direction (D2). In the launcher display picture (140), a first icon that is currently selected by the rider, a second icon that was selected by the rider last time, a third icon to be selected by the rider next time, and a back button (43) located adjacent to the first icon are displayed in the certain direction (D2).
