A WHEELBASE STRUCTURE

The present invention relates to a wheelbase structure (10, 100) configured to form at least a part of a vehicle main supporting structure (5) by extending from a first axle (40) to a second axle (50), the first and second axles (40 ,50) being separated along a longitudinal direction (L). The wheelbase structure (10, 100) comprises an outer boundary (110) forming an inner housing space (120) for housing energy storage or transformation devices (200), wherein at least a portion (112, 112a', 114, 116) of the outer boundary (110) is formed by a sandwich structure (300) comprising a plurality of layers (310, 320, 330) of different material.
