A method for controlling a hydraulic transmission of a work or agricultural vehicle (VHE) comprising a prime mover (E) configured to drive in rotation a hydraulic pump (HP) configured to supply a hydraulic motor (HM) operatively connected to at least one vehicle wheel (W), the hydraulic pump being provided of a controllable variable displacement, the method comprising sudden increasing (C) a control signal of the pump displacement at reaching of a predetermined prime mover rotation speed (S), when the vehicle is in static conditions (C2).
