In an opening at the end of the cylindrical housing opposite the writing tip, a port and a push button are disposed under a removeable flexible cap to provide a cable connection for charging the stylus when the cap is removed and an input device to activate a wireless function when the flexible cap is in place, such as by translating end user pushes through a steel plate integrated in the flexible cap. An attachment member extends from the flexible cap into a sliding engagement with an end cap so that the flexible cap lifts out of the opening and flexes about the attachment member to expose the port in the opening.",
