SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FAST MAGNETOMETER CALIBRATION USING GYROSCOPE

An electronic device (100) includes a magnetometer (102) that outputs magnetometer sensor signals and a gyroscope (104) that outputs gyroscope sensor signals. The electronic device (100) includes a magnetometer calibration module (106) that calibrates the magnetometer (102) utilizing the gyroscope sensor signals. The electronic device (100) generates a first magnetometer calibration parameter based on a Kalman filter process. The electronic device (100) generates a second magnetometer calibration parameter based on a least squares estimation process.
