The present invention relates to an image display system (100) including: an optical laminate (1) including an optical layer (2) that changes the polarization direction of incident light by 90° and at least one transparent resin substrate (3); display-image projection means (101) for emitting S polarized light to the optical laminate (1); and a polarized-light control unit (10, 10') including a P-polarized-light control unit that transmits S polarized light and blocks P polarized light or an S-polarized-light control unit that changes the polarization direction of incident light by 90°and blocks S polarized light, in which S polarized light reflected on the optical laminate (1) is incident on the polarized-light control unit (10, 10').
