Autonomous vehicle and operating method thereof

A method may provide a notification for handover of driving control from the autonomous driving system to the user. The method includes determining whether the control of the vehicle needs to be handed over to a user based on an event occurring during autonomous driving of the vehicle, and providing the user with a notification indicating that the control of the vehicle needs to be handed over to the user.
