WEIGHT OPTIMIZED BELLOW ACCUMULATOR

A damper assembly (20) includes a damper (22) with a pressure tube (32) and a piston (36) slidably disposed within the pressure tube (32). A first working chamber (64) is defined on one side of the piston (36) and a second working chamber (66) is defined on an opposite side of the piston (36) such that a volume of the second working chamber decreases during a compression stroke of the piston (36) and the volume of the second working chamber (66) increases during a rebound stroke of the piston. A bellow accumulator assembly (26) is included and in fluid communication with the second working chamber (66). The bellow accumulator assembly (26) includes a housing (210), a bellow accumulator disposed (230) within the housing (210), a pressurized gas chamber defined between the housing and the bellow accumulator and an accumulator chamber defined between the bellow accumulator and the second working chamber.
