An evaluation device includes: a mathematical model acquisition unit that acquires a mathematical model expressing a state of an energy storage device; an operation data acquisition unit that acquires operation data including time-series input data input during operation of a system, which is constructed based on the mathematical model, and time-series output data output by the system based on the time-series input data; a processing unit that executes processing of inputting the time-series input data to the mathematical model and outputting time-series model output data from the mathematical model; and an evaluation unit that evaluates design or operation of the system based on the time-series output data and the time-series model output data.
