There is provided a dolly (100) featuring at least one wheel (111), an auto-engaging brake (122), and a release mechanism (121) for selectively manipulating the auto-engaging brake (122) from an applied state to a released state. The dolly further includes a tow bar (112) which is connected to the release mechanism (121) for operating the auto-engaging brake (122) between the applied and released state.
