A pad (1; 11) for disc brakes for railway vehicles comprising a base plate (2), a plurality of friction elements (4) fixed to the base plate and a plurality of spacers (8; 12), each of which is mounted between the base plate (2) and a respective friction element (4). In each one of the spacers (8; 12) at least one fixing hole (8a; 12a) is obtained, which is engaged by a respective rivet (7) suited to lock the friction element (4) to the base plate (12). Each one of the spacers (8; 12) consists of a plurality of metal plaques (9; 15), each having a fixing hole (8a; 12a) obtained in it. The metal plaques (9; 15) are stacked on top of one another so that the respective fixing holes (8a; 12a) coincide.
