In the method, an actual hydrogen consumption rate during operation of the fuel cell system is firstly acquired, an actual hydrogen consumption within a set time is determined, pressure values and temperature values of the hydrogen system at an initial moment and an end moment of the set time are acquired, and a theoretical consumption for supply by the hydrogen system to a fuel cell is determined by combining a total water volume of the hydrogen system; an actual consumption is compared with the theoretical consumption, and it is determined that the tank valve of the hydrogen system malfunctions if a difference between the theoretical consumption and the actual consumption is greater than a set value and when it is determined that no hydrogen leakage occurs in the hydrogen system. The method can effectively determine in real time whether the tank valve malfunctions and so that the hydrogen tank cannot be supplied with gas. In this way, determining efficiency is high, safety and reliability of the hydrogen system are ensured, and safe and reliable operation of the fuel cell system is ensured.",
