DRIVE
August 7, 2024
A pneumatic tyre (100) for forestry use, comprising a ground-engaging tread section (10) including a series of elevated section (24), each elevated section (24) being in a tread groove (38) between two consecutive primary tread blocks (20) with one of which the elevated section is united. The elevated section (24) extends radially from the level of a tread groove bottom (22) to a height (H2) that is reduced with respect to the height (H1) of the radially outermost surfaces of the primary tread blocks (20). A radially outermost surface (26) of the elevated section (24) provides a protecting surface adapted to safeguard the tread groove bottom (22) from a track (200) or a tyre chain (500) placed on the tread section and an axially outermost shoulder surface (28) of the elevated section (24) provides a supporting surface adapted to support the track or the tyre chain.
