OFF-LINE WASH SYSTEM FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE AND CORRESPONDING METHOD

A system comprises a gas turbine (40) engine including a compressor (15), combustor (25), gas turbine (40), the combustor (25) including a plurality of late lean fuel injectors (60); and wash system (100) configured to be attached to and in fluid communication with the a plurality of late lean fuel injectors (60) of the combustor (25). The wash system (100) includes a water source (110) supplying water (120); a first fluid source (150) supplying a first fluid; a mixing chamber (170) in communication with the water source (110) and first fluid source (150); a water pump (220) to pump water (120) to the mixing chamber (170); a first fluid pump to pump the first fluid to the mixing chamber (170); a fluid line (190) in fluid communication with the mixing chamber (170) and at least one of the plurality of late lean fuel injectors (60) so fluid from the mixing chamber (170) is injected into the combustor (25) at late lean fuel injectors (60). The wash system (100) is operated with the gas turbine (40) engine off-line.
