The battery cell includes: a pressure relief mechanism, the pressure relief mechanism being disposed on at least one wall of the battery cell, and the pressure relief mechanism being configured to be actuated when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold, to relieve the internal pressure; and a protective film enclosing an outer surface of the at least one wall, the protective film being configured to provide insulation protection for the at least one wall; where the protective film includes a first portion, and the first portion at least covers the pressure relief mechanism. Through technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application, insulation performance of a battery cell could be improved; meanwhile, deformation of a pressure relief mechanism could be suppressed, creep of the pressure relief mechanism could be reduced, and the service life of the pressure relief mechanism could be increased.",
