APPLIQUE WITH MARGIN SEAL

An applique arrangement (30) for a vehicle surface, particularly for an outer vehicle surface in a pillar region (24) of the vehicle (10), comprising: an applique (32) having a panel portion (50) that extends essentially along a first direction (L) and a second direction (V) transverse to the first direction (L), and having a first inner portion (52), a margin seal (70) which extends along an edge (36) of the applique (32) in the second direction, wherein the panel portion (50) has a panel outer surface (51) for forming a part of the vehicle surface, wherein the first inner portion (52) extends essentially in parallel to the margin seal (70) and projects from the panel portion (50) essentially in a third direction (T) which is transverse to the first direction (L) and to the second direction (V), wherein the margin seal (70) has a plurality of holding portions (76) which are aligned along the direction of extension of the margin seal (70), and which are arranged at a distance from each other, and wherein the first inner portion (52) of the applique (32) has a plurality of receiving portions (66) for receiving respective ones of the holding portions (76) of the margin seal (70).
