AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPRESSOR BLEED VALVE

Methods and systems (20) for filtering pressurized air (F) used to control a compressor bleed valve (22) of a gas turbine engine are provided. One method comprises receiving the pressurized air (F) in a conduit (25) via an inlet (26) of the conduit (25), releasing a first portion (F1) of the pressurized air (F) out of the conduit (25) via an outlet (28) of the conduit (25), releasing a second portion (F2) of the pressurized air (F) from the conduit (25) via a port (30) disposed between the inlet (26) and the outlet (28) of the conduit (25), directing the second portion (F2) of the pressurized air (F) from the port (30) to a filter (34) along an upward flow path (36), filtering the second portion (F2) of the pressurized air (F) using the filter (34), and directing the second portion (F2) of the pressurized air (F) from the filter (34) toward the compressor bleed valve (22).
