The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery that serves to improve the thermal stability of the lithium composite oxide while keeping degradation in the low-temperature characteristics of the battery under control. A non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery involving one aspect of the present disclosure includes a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The cathode includes a cathode current collector and a cathode laminate disposed on the cathode current collector. The cathode laminate includes a lithium composite oxide () composed of secondary particles () formed of aggregated primary particles (). Letting the average particle diameter of the primary particles () be d and the standard deviation in the particle-size distribution be σ, among the secondary particles () primary particles () having a particle diameter greater than d+6σ are present.
