The apparatus can be disposed within a vehicle, such as an RV, adjacent a closable opening to the exterior of the vehicle, which gives full access to both sizes of the storage area. The apparatus can be formed with a slideable end wall which contains a pocket for receiving and storing an access ladder for the upper bunk, and that end wall can form a closable opening for the storage area.",
