A movement assistance device comprises a first required time calculation unit that calculates, based on location information of a vehicle, a first required time, which is the time required for the vehicle to arrive at a meeting location where a user (70) who made the dispatch request is to board the vehicle; a route calculation unit that calculates, based on location information of a communication device (60), a plurality of routes from a current location of the user (70) to the meeting location; a second required time calculation unit that calculates a second required time, which is the time required to arrive at the meeting location from the current location of the user (70), for each of the plurality of routes; a determination unit that determines that if a second required time is the same as or shorter than the first required time, the route associated with the second required time is a route via which the vehicle could be met on time; and an output unit that causes the communication device (60) to output information that indicates the route or routes determined to be the route or routes via which the vehicle could be met on time.
