The method for producing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes at least a winding step of forming a wound electrode body, a terminal connection step of connecting an electrode terminal to the wound electrode body, and a sealing step of accommodating the wound electrode body inside a battery case, and thereafter sealing the battery case. The production method disclosed herein includes, between the winding step and the terminal connection step, a permeation step of immersing a wound electrode body in a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, and repeatedly pressing and releasing the wound electrode body.",
