Method for determining the state of health of at least one electric battery, comprising a discharge phase of strings (2) of cells (3) of said battery (1) with a discharge current (Isc), in which it continuously measures a first voltage across said strings (2) and a discharge time (tsc) used to discharge said battery (1) a discharge voltage (Vsc); a pause phase, in which said discharge voltages (Vsc) reach respective stabilized no-load voltages (E1); a recharging phase with a recharging current (Ic), in which it continuously measures a second voltage across said strings (2) and a recharging time (tc); a first step of calculating an effective capacity value (Ceff) of each string (2) of cells (3); a second phase of calculation of a value proportional to an energy (Ac) dispersed during the discharge phase and the recharge phase, and at least one phase of evaluation of at least one degradation coefficient (Fdeg) of each said string (2) of said battery (1) on the basis at least of the proportional value of said dispersed energy (Ac); at least one step of comparing said degradation coefficient (Fdeg) with a maximum degradation value (Fmax) to define the state of health of said battery.
