PORTABLE LIGHTING DEVICE

A portable lighting device includes a shell (10), at least one luminous element, a battery compartment (40), positive and negative terminals (42, 41) and light-transmitting channels. The battery compartment (40) is made of transparent and fluorescent materials. At least one indicator mark (43) is disposed on the battery compartment (40), for indicating the positive or negative terminals (42, 41). The light-transmitting channels allow the light emitted by the luminous element to irradiate and stimulate the battery compartment (40) to emit light and exhibit an afterglow. Thus, by using the light from the battery compartment (40) to illuminate the indication mark (43), the user can accurately determine the positive and negative terminals (42, 41) in the battery compartment (40) in a dark environment, which is convenient to replace batteries or battery pack.
