BATTERY ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY PACK HAVING THE SAME

A battery assembly includes a cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, a busbar assembly provided with a busbar electrically connected to an electrode lead of the battery cell, and coupled to the cell stack, a plate unit configured to cover at least a portion of a side surface of the cell stack, a sensing unit coupled to the busbar assembly and disposed outside of the cell stack, and a cell monitoring unit coupled to the sensing unit. The cell monitoring unit is installed on the plate unit.
