ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT

An inverter (30) is disposed adjacent to one end of a motor (20) in a rotational axis direction. The inverter (30) includes a plurality of power modules (70), a smoothing capacitor (60), busbars (80) and (81) that connect the power modules (70) to the smoothing capacitor (60), and a thin case (31) that accommodates these. The plurality of power modules (70) are disposed at the periphery of the smoothing capacitor (60). The smoothing capacitor (60) and each of the power modules (70) are disposed in an inner portion of the thin case (31) to be arranged on the same plane orthogonal to the rotational axis direction. The busbars (80) and (81) are formed to spread in the circumferential direction. An inner edge portion of each of the busbars has an arc shape or a circular shape.
