A pneumatic tire includes sidewall portions, at least one of the sidewall portions includes a projection formation portion in which a plurality of micro projections are formed on an outer surface thereof, the micro projections each have a height of not greater than 0.5 mm, the projection formation portion has an area of not less than 10 mm2, the number of the micro projections formed at an interval of not greater than 0.5 mm in at least one direction is 20 or more, M300/M100 of a stress M100 at a tensile strain of 100% and a stress M300 at a tensile strain of 300% of the sidewall portion in a tensile test under an environment of 25°C at a tensile speed of 500 mm/min is greater than 4.0, and a loss tangent tanδ at 70°C of the sidewall portion is not greater than 0.09.
