Provided is a battery module including: a battery cell stack stacking a plurality of battery cells therein; a module frame accommodating the battery cell stack; and at least one flame separation structure interposed between the adjacent battery cells among the plurality of battery cells, or between the battery cell stack and the module frame, wherein the flame separation structure includes a first extension portion extended to a space between the battery cell stack and the module frame.
