FUEL OIL INJECTOR
DRIVE
September 11, 2024
A fuel oil injector for a gas turbine engine includes a tubular body (17) extending along an axis (A), a first fuel oil supply duct (18) and a second fuel oil supply duct (20) in the tubular body (17), and a plurality of flat fan nozzles (22) arranged around the axis (A) at an injection end (17a) of the tubular body (17). The nozzles (22) are configured to deliver respective flat fuel oil jets (30) tilted with respect to the axis (A), whereby the fuel oil jets (30) delimit respective sides of an inner fuel-free region (R). The first fuel oil supply duct (18) is coupled to a first group (22a) of the nozzles (22) and the second fuel oil supply duct (20) is coupled to a second group (22b) of the nozzles (22), the nozzles (22) of the first group (22a) being distinct from the nozzle or nozzles (22) of the second group (22b).
