A seal is first placed in the recess, and a membrane-electrode unit, a first gas diffusion layer, and an electrically conductive top layer are then introduced into the cell frame. The cell frame is then rotated, and a second gas diffusion layer is applied. The electrolysis cell produced in this manner includes the cell frame with the seal and the different layers.",
