Provided is a rotational torque inspection method for a wheel bearing device that enables detection of an abnormality in a component or step occurring midway in the manufacturing of the wheel bearing device, and enables reduction in the number of components that are discarded. This rotational torque inspection method for a wheel bearing device 1 comprises: a press-fitting step S02 for press-fitting an inner ring 4 onto a small-diameter step part 3a of a hub ring 3 as far as a position where the inner ring 4 abuts against the hub ring 3 in the axial direction; a post-press-fitting rotational torque measurement step S04 for measuring a rotational torque T1 of the wheel bearing device 1 when, after the press-fitting step S02, the hub ring 3 and the inner ring 4 that are inner members and an outer ring 2 that is an outer member are rotated in a relative manner; and a post-press-fitting rotational torque determination step S05 for determining the fitness of the rotational torque T1 by whether or not the rotational torque T1 measured in the post-press-fitting rotational torque measurement step S04 is within a range of standard values S1.
