The belt layer 7 includes at least one belt ply 7a in which belt cords 8 are arranged. The belt cords 8 each have an N + M structure including N core(s) 10 and M sheaths 11. Each core 10 has a cross-section having a flattened shape having a long diameter d1 and a short diameter d2. A value (d2/d1/L1) obtained by dividing a flatness ratio d2/d1 of the core 10 by a shortest distance L1 (mm) in a tire radial direction from a ground-contact surface 2a of a tread portion 2 to a center of the belt cord 8 in a tire meridian cross-section is not greater than 0.07 (1/mm).
