The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a method for performing ranging through a UWB communication, which includes receiving state information of each moving node occupying channels provided by a plurality of anchor nodes to perform ranging on a plurality of anchor nodes in a UWB communication area, setting a priority between the moving nodes based on the state information, and a recovering one of the channels being occupied by the moving nodes based on a priority.
