Disclosed is a system including an aircraft (12), and a computing system remote from the aircraft (12). The aircraft (12) includes a sensor (18), an aircraft component (16) associated with the sensor (18), a first transmitter (20), and a first receiver (22). The computing system includes one or more processors, a second transmitter (38), and a second receiver (34). The aircraft (12) is configured to transmit, via the first transmitter (20), sensor data (26) sensed by the sensor (18), to the computing system, and the computing system is configured to receive, via the second receiver (34), sensor data (26) transmitted from the aircraft (12). The computing system is configured to process using the one or more processors, the received sensor data (26) to generate status data (28) indicative of an operational mode of the aircraft component (16), and to transmit, when the status data (28) is indicative of an altered operational mode of the aircraft component (16), the status data (28) to the aircraft (12) via the second transmitter (38). The aircraft (12) is configured to indicate, based at least partially on the status data (28) received by the first receiver (22), the altered operational mode of the aircraft component (16).
