An electronic apparatus comprising:an external element that is either one or both of an external coil and an external electrode disposed outside a housing;a communication circuit connected to the external element in series via a capacitor and configured to operate the external element as either one of a monopole antenna and a dipole antenna in a communication frequency band; andan additional circuit connected to the external element in series via an inductor.
