The air supply system comprises a compressor unit (102) for providing compressed air, an air-drying unit (118) for providing dried compressed air, an air-processing control unit (122) configured to ascertain air-processing data (124) indicative of an operation of the compressor unit (102), an oil-separator unit (106) configured to filter out oil (112) from the compressed air (104) provided by the compressor unit (102) and comprising an oil-level sensor unit (116) configured to provide an oil-level signal (OL) indicative of an amount of oil filtered (OV) at the oil-separator unit (106); and wherein the air-processing control unit (122) is further configured to determine an expected oil separator filling volume (EV) using the air-processing data (124), to receive the oil-level signal (OL) and to provide a service-required.",
