"textContent": "An object-based lane keeping assist for a vehicle (10) is disclosed. The vehicle (10) comprises a first sensor (11), a second sensor (12), and a lane keeping function. The first sensor (11) is configured to determine a relative position of the vehicle (10) with respect to a lane (51). The second sensor (12) is configured to detect a position of an object (20) in an adjacent lane (52). The lane keeping function is configured to keep the vehicle (10) around a default line (L0) in the lane (51). The lane keeping assist comprises a control unit (100) including a processor (110) and a memory (120) with stored instructions that, when executed on the processor, cause the following: to trigger a steering intervention (S1) when a distance (D) between a side (13) of the vehicle (10) and a trigger line (TL) is below a predetermined threshold indicating an unintended lane departure of the vehicle (10); to complete the steering intervention (S1), when the default travel line (L0) of the lane keeping function has been reached; and to shift (dT) the trigger line (TL) when the second sensor (12) has detected the object (20) in the adjacent lane (52).",
